Lancaster County man convicted of child rape

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) – A Lancaster County man was convicted this week of raping a child over several years and said he wanted to “teach her how to properly use her body.”

According to the Lancaster County District Attorney’s Office, Timothy Barker of Leola was convicted of multiple charges, including rape of a child, statutory sexual assault and involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child.

The victim said she was abused between the ages of 9 and 13 before disclosing the abuse years later.

Baker will be sentenced at a later date and remanded to the Lancaster County Jail on $1 million bail.
