Police blow up cannabis factory on High Street

Police have made an arrest after a cannabis factory was blown up. At 3pm yesterday they searched the house in High Street, Kidsgrove.

The suspect – a 26-year-old man from Oldham – is currently being questioned by police in connection with the incident.




A Staffordshire Police spokesman said: “A man was arrested after we found a cannabis grow at a house. We went to an address in Kidsgrove after receiving information suggesting drug activity. Several plants were found in the house. Officers also seized two mobile phones and more than £450 cash.

“A 26-year-old man from Oldham has been arrested on suspicion of cannabis cultivation. He remains in custody as the investigation continues. Officers across the region continue to proactively tackle drug cultivation as part of Operation Levidrome.”
