Allegheny Mountain Rescue Group search dog K-9 Tasha forced to retire after cancer diagnosis – WPXI

PITTSBURGH – An Allegheny Mountain Rescue Group search dog found alive has retired after being diagnosed with cancer.

K-9 Tasha had a long and successful career as a certified live search dog, the Allegheny Mountain Rescue Group said on Facebook.

Tasha was diagnosed with a severe form of bone cancer. It required aggressive treatment and led to her retirement.

The post states that Tasha will enjoy a quiet retirement with her handler David and her sister K-9 Xena, who is also a certified live search dog.
