A fire broke out at the BJP office in Delhi on Thursday and firefighters were rushed to the spot.

New Delhi: In a shocking incident, a major fire broke out at the BJP office in Delhi state on Thursday. The fire broke out at the Delhi State Office, located at Pandit Pant Marg. According to current reports, no injuries were reported in the incident, it said.

According to the officials, they received a call around 4.25 pm reporting a fire incident at the BJP headquarters at Pandit Pant Marg.

“Three fire engines were pressed into service,” the DFS official said, adding that the fire was brought under control within a few minutes. A short circuit in the electricity meter box triggered the small fire, BJP said in a statement.

“We have reported the matter to the police for further investigation,” a DFS official said.

In another incident in the national capital, a fire broke out in the parking lot of a residential building in Sarita Vihar on Thursday, Delhi Fire Service officials said. No injuries were reported in the incident, it said.

“At 6.19 am, we received a fire call and three fire engines were pressed into service,” the official said.

The fire, which broke out in the four-story building’s stilt parking lot, damaged three cars and destroyed a scooter, he said. Residents were evacuated in a timely manner and the fire was extinguished within 40 minutes, he said.

“We have informed the local police for investigation to know the actual reason behind the fire. It is suspected that a short circuit triggered the fire,” the official said.
