Columbia moped driver killed in collision on Rangeline

Columbia police are still investigating the fatal moped collision that occurred Monday evening on Rangeline.

CPD investigators say the moped driver was traveling south in the northbound lanes of Rangeline around 9 p.m. Monday evening when he collided with a Ford Escape that was traveling north. According to Columbia Police, the moped driver, 64-year-old Terry Walker, was ejected from the vehicle and died from his injuries. The driver of the Escape suffered moderate injuries.

According to CPD investigators, witnesses saw two unidentified passengers fleeing the Escape. CPD describes its investigation as ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at (573) 875-TIPS.
