Woodstock Police Announce Community Fishing Day

The Woodstock Police Service is once again hosting Kids and Cops Fishing Day in collaboration with the Oxford County Naval Veterans Association and the Kids, Cops and Canadian Tire program.

Members of the Woodstock Police Service help children 16 and under cast lines and have a lot of fun during Kids, Cops and Canadian Tire Fishing Day. This year’s event will take place on Sunday, May 26, 2024.

The number of places available is limited and places are allocated on a first come, first served basis. To register your child or children, complete the registration form at and email it to [email protected].

Each child must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of their participation.

The derby will be held at 959 James Street at the Oxford County Naval Veterans Association Pond from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

This event is supported by the Canadian National Sportfishing Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and protecting recreational fishing for all Canadians, and the generous financial contribution of Canadian Tire.
